  • Don't take my late review as a sign of being unsatisfied with this event. I'm just lazy. Let's. Get. To. It. Wow. What a first Yelp Elite Event. Thank you to our Community Manager and Strings Ramen for treating us like royalty! The event was full of fun, useful information about the restaurant and their menu. We started out with unique beverages - Royal Milk Tea, carbonated sodas from Japan (I think), and melon cream sodas. I didn't have any as I stuck with green tea but every single Elite was raving about the Royal Milk Tea. They were all gone before our food started coming out. Next we got a tour of the kitchen. Katie Dong, you are a talented woman who clearly knows what you're doing. When I read that you are the Executive Manager and Chef of all Strings Ramen locations I literally thought "well duh, that woman knows her shit." After the tour food began pouring out of the kitchen. When it rains it pours at Strings Ramen! We couldn't believe how generous the team was to provide us with nearly everything from their menu. And! They were so kind to offer me vegetarian versions of every dish. THANK YOU! Here are my favorites from the menu: 1. Sriracha Broccoli - I love broccoli. It's legit one of my favorite foods. This was my favorite dish of the event. The sauce that is drizzled over the little steamed trees of goodness is just enough to add a lot of flavor but not be drowned in sauce. 2. Vegetable Dumplings - My first dumpling did not disappoint. I don't know exactly what was inside the little pockets of noodle but I know they were beyond tasty. 3. MIKKUSU YASAI Ramen. Let me be honest here. By the time the ramen came out I was stuffed to the brim with flavors I've never experienced before, noodles, vegetable, and tea. I didn't know how I was going to eat any more. Don't worry friends... I did not let you down. Not only did I try the ramen, I ate the whole thing because it was that good. The skinny: I don't go downtown to eat very often but I will definitely be making a special trip to DT just to eat at Strings Ramen again. You should too.
