rev:text	I did not live in an apartment managed by this company, but a number of my friends did at some point in their lives. None spoke highly of it, although I will say that I have heard far worse complaints about landlords and property management companies. I will not get into the details of specific disputes because I do not think it appropriate to discuss such things secondhand, and because none of them were examples of this company doing anything outright illegal. I looked at a few apartments that this company had to offer, when looking for apartments. My experience was that they were at slightly-above-market prices, and in presentable but not excellent condition. I got the vibe that this company's business model was not to invest in improving its buildings, but rather, in simply maintaining them at whatever level is considered acceptable. The company seems primarily motivated by money and is only concerned with its public image to the extent that it impacts their bottom line. I would not go so far as to consider them a slumlord but I definitely sensed a bit of an attempt at squeezing money out of the properties rather than investing in them. Most of the properties owned by this company are attractive, ornate mid-rise buildings in the gold coast area of Lakewood and Cleveland, but at least one of the buildings owned by this company in another area is outright slummy. In all areas, the buildings tend to look better on the outside than the inside. It might be worth looking at these properties and keeping an open mind. Companies can change and my perspective may be skewed by the individual experiences of people I happened to know. However, my first inclination would be to shy away from this company and the properties it offers.
