  • I have mixed feelings about this place. I don't know where some of these 'amazing' reviews are coming from. I ordered AYCE and they offer a wide range of selection. The food is good, everything is seasoned well and it tastes great. But the reason why I will not be returning is because there is JUST WAY TOO MUCH RICE and the fish is too thin. When i put the sushi in my mouth, 1/3 of the time I can taste the rice and fish evenly. But for the remaining 2/3 all I am chewing on is rice. It felt like I was downing a bowl of rice with fish flavoring. At my go-to AYCE sushi back home (sake2me-tustin), the size of the fish is 2x the size and rice is 1/2 that of Sushi Mon. I didn't expect it to be at that standard, because that's just how you do ayce sushi business (so the customers don't eat alot), but I thought the amount of rice:fish was ridiculous. I think I ate 1/2 of what I normally eat at an AYCE sushi because I was so full on rice. I glanced over at the next table and saw the rolls. I was glad I didn't order one.. lol I saw the great reviews on here and was excited for it, but I will not be returning... The waitress was really helpful and nice though.
