  • Even though this "outlet mall" is really classified as IN Balzac, I see it more as a Calgary Mall. It has almost 1.2 million sq. ft of retail space, but if you're a guy and are looking for gadgets forget about this place. My wife like this place, because it has ALL of her favorite places to shop. Cleo, J Michaels, Michael Kors, just to name a few. Her favorite place is the Coach Outlet store. As for the guys, if you're a hunter or fisherman Bass Pro is a unique shopping experience. The major complaint I have about Cross Iron Mills, is that us gadget shopping guys don't have much of a selection. There are NO camera stores, NO electronics stores, unless you count The Source as being one of those. (I DON"T). They have a relatively large foodcourt, with your usual eateries ie; KFC, A&W, Taco Bell, Subway, etc. but if you venture to the other side by Bass Pro, there's a South Street burger, a crepe place. and Freshly Squeezed. As a final note, I find the best parking on the west side of the mall closest to the #2 highway. The entrances, and parking on the east side tend to be busier. My guess it's because of the movie theatre, foodcourt and Toy's are us. I see some people doing some mall walking during the winter months. I heard somewhere that it's 2.5 km to walk around the entire mall.
