Do NOT get a facial at this spa. Throughout the facial I kept telling the esthetician, Daisy, that the products were burning my skin and she told me that it meant the products "were working" and it was normal.
After my appointment my face was still stinging. She looked at me as I was leaving and told me I was "glowing." I hadn't seen my face yet when she said this. They also charged me before the service --and now I know why.
I was horrified when I saw my face in the mirror. I had severe chemical burns all over my face (and I had very clear healthy skin before the facial). I have had to seek medical treatment and filed a complaint with hotel security to document it. Despite this, the spa has refused to refund my money (security asked them to do this as well and they said--"we don't give refunds.")
My face now looks like I have been in an accident and I am told it will scar. This isn't minor redness. I have huge red burns across my face. The spa's handling of this has been disgraceful. When I asked them to send someone to my room to help me or provide some sort of soothing product, they told me that they couldn't do anything to help because they "didn't want to make it worse." So the message from the Bathhouse is: "If we f**k up your face and cause severe damage, you are on your own... and we are keeping your $150."
The Nevada board of cosmetology needs to look into their business practices (it's my next stop).
