| - Walked into Jimmy's and stood in line. Got to the counter and ordered. While waiting, I asked the barista where I could find a good bar to go to after hours and I was expecting a few suggestions off the top of his head.
Instead, I got the full anthology of bars in the neighborhood and broke it down by price, atmosphere, quality, location and type of crowd. And while he was explaining, a line formed behind me to order so I felt bad and apologized, but not only were they polite to me, they jumped in as well giving me tips on locations and such.
I love Canadians. Seriously. And I love Toronto. It's one of 3 favorite cities in North America. And it's mainly due to how awesome the people are here.
Anyhow, finally got our coffees and cookies and other dessert items and found a table to sit and plan out our next bar adventure.
Coffee and cookies were pretty good. 4/5 for both but it's really the service and the customer base they already have that puts this place over the top.
If you want a cool, hip coffee shop to chill at in the Kensington Market area and also drink some great coffee and eat delicious cookies, and get amazing service, you have to make your way down to Jimmy's.
