| - From time to time I think it is appropriate to provide some background information in my reviews. I often get the most out of Yelp when I find a review I can relate to by the similarities of my expectations with the other reviewers.
With that I have received massages from various large chains, cruise ships and resorts. When I get a massage it is for therapeutic reasons, for a massage to be beneficial to your body it can be painful. For those who go to "relax" this may not be the review for you. Now from time to time I get a relaxing massage on the beach in Mexico. After all that's what I expect there.
With regards to Healthy Habits I have been going there for about three years. I honestly don't know how many massages I have had at Healthy Habits but my guess is at least 10. Of those 10 or so massages I have left there 1 time saying, man that was a let down. It wasn't because I didn't enjoy myself but it was because the therapist didn't fit me. I didn't walk away with that semi beat up but relaxed feeling. As I said I am about the health benefits of massage.
As a regular of Healthy Habits I opt for a 2 hour massage. Some people say 2 hours!!!! Yep, once you get one anything less seems like a waste. Plus, when the therapists finds those spots needing attention they are not in a rush to finish you 1 hour full body massage. Another reason I go for 2 hours is the cost. My last one was 88 bucks, plus tip. That is not only reasonable for what you get, it is a STEAL! DON'T tell them that......
I have read every review for the company. So let speak on a few topics in those reviews. Every company struggles with quality help these days. Healthy Habits is no different. Yes, I have had the front desk staff make my calls for appointments a little cumbersome from time to time. Yes, I had one lack luster massage. I have also had at least 90 percent of my experiences be above or at my expectations. If I was a betting man, I would bet on this place for a great massage at a fair price. In addition to that, I always look to support local business first! One more reason to try Healthy Habits.
Enjoy your massage......
