rev:text	After reading a few reviews, I can see most are based on a particular experience, which contributes to the 2 stars. This Metro is so popular that the parking lot is full to the maximum all the time! This is my neighbourhood Metro. I also shop at Whole Foods, Big Carrot, Longo's and Loblaws. For overall value and customer service, Metro is the best. My standards are high as I eat organic when possible and really look for fresh produce and non-GMO items. 1. The fish counter is very good here. They sell a lot of fish here and thus it is pretty fresh. Better than the fish store on Bayview and Whole Foods also on Bayview. Prices are better and fish is fresher! And as opposed to Loblaws on Bayview where one should never buy fish ( One Star) as I've taken back and thrown more out than I was able to eat. 2. Meat. The meat and organic chicken are very good as well. Other items along the counters are not great which is similar to all grocery chains now. I get most meat from the butcher counter only. They do not have any non-hormone, grain-fed beef there anymore. Go to Cumbrae's down the street. 3. Eggs. Eggs are something else again. Every chain and large store advertise " free run" which only means the chickens are rotated through a free barn hour per day. So again eggs for the conscious consumer can only be purchased at small organic stores and are usually twice the price. Don't buy eggs here or any chain for that matter. That's life in 2017! 4. Produce is good for the basics and because it is so busy it's usually fresh . They have organic offerings as well. 5. Everything else is well priced and they have specials all the time on many items. The staff remember your face and say hello! 6. As for Deli and fast food well again...I never buy it here or any store. Even if it is fresh and well prepared it is so full of sodium and additives in general. Deli service is different staff and seems very slow. Finally, the staff remember you and are pretty helpful and check out is fast even with 6-7 bags of groceries. Because the store cannot expand they have done the best that they could in this older space.
