  • If you're in Chandler or the surrounding areas, I'll tell you why this is hands down the ONLY AC CONTRACTOR you should hire! They just replaced our failed builder AC unit today (4/18/2016) with an excellent Frigidaire 16 Seer 2 Stage Unit (split with gas furnace). Take a look at their reviews on Yelp! Only 1 complaint and even that complaint starts with "the work Bruce's does is excellent"! That's a ridiculous amount of 5 star reviews especially on Yelp for any business and I'll explain why this is the case. Our 17 year old Goodman builder AC unit failed to start in March of this year 2016 (coil corroded and leaked all the freon out last summer). Talked to a bunch of contractors and quickly realized that it wasn't worth replacing the coil for about 3 grand because this unit was noisy and completely inefficient and is using the old R22 refrigerant which is burning a hole in our ozone layer. After talking with at least 9 (yes nine) different contractor's for options and about to "settle" for the best deal we could get from a large company, we found HomeAdvisor and Bruce's AC was recommended and at the top of their list. So I emailed them and was surprised that they (Gary) were willing to answer all of my questions regarding units, pricing, technology, etc. They spent a good deal of time educating me. This was unlike others contractors who wouldn't spend even a minute emailing me back without an appointment and a tech coming to my home (some of whom simply wasted my time). So I decided to give them a chance to come by and give me an estimate. They sent their tech Brandon and he was the most personable and genuine tech/saleperson I'd met out of 9 other companies. He examined our home and told us (correctly) that a 3.5 ton unit which others were willing to install wasn't going to work well in our home due to square footage, vaulted ceilings, and hotspot issues we had for years in one of our rooms (where our 4 and 5 year old boys sleep and have been suffering and getting ill for the last few years) with our previous AC. He also correctly examined the air handler and ductwork and figured out that the original builder not only put in a weak unit but also showed us how they installed it incorrectly and told me how they would install a new unit correctly to fix the issues. I also told him about vibration in our 2 year old's room near the outside unit every time it would turn on and he had a simple solution for that as well. So not only did Brandon give us the correct information with solutions, he then gave us better options and offers than our competition on a 4 ton unit. At this point, there was nothing I could do but say "okay, let's do it" and cancel with the other LARGE COMPANY contractor who we were just going to "settle" with for a 3.5 ton unit (but most obviously the wrong one!)... Gary set up the appointment for Monday (literally the next day) and their installers showed up exactly on time and were very friendly and professional. They started at 9AM and were done by 5PM exactly in 8 hours as Gary promised for a split unit install! Gary helped with all rebates and forms and made the process simple. In only 45 minutes after turning on the new Frigidaire AC unit, our house hit 76 degrees! I went outside and instead of hearing our noisy old clunker like I was used to, I was instead only hearing the neighbor's old builder unit! The new unit is ultra quiet, looks great, and was installed properly to avoid vibration which always had been an issue for us. Also, the hotspot in the front bedroom was gone! The new thermostat they installed is great quality and much, much better than what we had before and basically I can't say enough good things about this company! They sold us the RIGHT UNIT, CAME TO INSTALL IT THE NEXT DAY, INSTALLED IT CORRECTLY AND EXPLAINED THEIR INSTALL, GAVE US A GREAT DEAL AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE, AND WERE FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, AND PROFESSIONAL!!! This is how every AC contractor should be! The only bad thing is that now I know way more about AC than I ever wanted to know and my home is actually cooling properly which I'm not used to so I'm actually cold now! :) Amazing. Anyways, G-D BLESS THE STAFF AT BRUCE'S AC: Gary, Brandon, Jeremy, Bruce, (forgot one name here) and the rest of the crew at Bruce's AC! These guys are the true ROCK STARS of AC Install and they work together as a real team! You cannot go wrong with these guys! Top Notch in Every Regard! I'm so happy right now that I might hit every neighbor on my block tomorrow just to tell them who to replace their old builder units with! No need to waste any further time. Call Gary at Bruce's AC right away! He's your guy! Thank You Gary!
