| - This gym is not your normal gym. This is a strengthening gym -- so no aerobics classes here. They set you up with an app on your phone and you can follow the workouts there.
If you aren't motivated on your own to workout, then you might want to consider the $10/mo gyms.
The first day of working out the trainer really focuses their attention to you, to make sure you know what you are doing...afterwards the instructors are there to make sure you are in proper form and to ask questions if you don't know a certain workout. (Even though I've witnessed several people still in bad form - even on warm up stretches)
I'm out of shape endurance-wise, but by no means "fat" -- I enjoyed working out with certain trainers yet, I never knew the schedule of who would be in when so, it was kind of annoying showing up and not seeing the trainer(s) you expected.
Like most things in life: Be weary of signing contracts!! They ask you to sign up AFTER your work out; when you are excited and your endorphins are running high. Literally, I was in the middle of my first day after about 50 mins in to the hour workout, the trainer stopped me to "go talk"... I stupidly signed a 3 months contract instead of month to month, even if month to month was more expensive... I was just excited about working out...I should have slept on the idea...or better yet, the trainer should have said, "you know, think about it because you're all excited with your workout and I don't want you to make a mistake." I mean it is a new monthly budgeted expense.
I only was able to come for 2 months because I got a traveling job. So they basically got $200 for free. They offered extended gym time, but I won't be in the area enough to compensate the difference. Happy Birthday to me! I paid the gym for no reason!! (Legit my birthday was Sept 13 and the gym didn't even send a birthday message!)
