| - I only lived here for 6 months, and lived ALONE! They charged me for EVERYTHING under the sky. I was charged for the carpet, even though it was noted pre move in that it was not new and had a big stain before I even moved in, I was charged over $100 for "ripped" flooring by the washer, and that was also PRE noted prior to move in, you have to replace your own lightbulbs and they are IMPOSSIBLE to find, when I finally found them, they were $10 each and I needed 5 of them.
On the day of my move out, I was greeted by Lindsay who was in a rush to get off work and even left a message stating I would be charged an extra day if I wasn't at the office promptly, I paid over $1600 to move into this complex on a 6 month lease, and received a $4.68 refund.
Please note:
-There is GARBAGE everywhere, I was so embarrassed once (I had a guest over), I even called the front office asking if they could clean it up.
-I lived ALONE, and was not home often and was charged for every defect in the apartment, even ones that were stated on my pre move in check list.
-The A/C dripped water on the carpet the whole time I lived there (6 months), I was charged for water damage, even though maintenance came out to "fix" the damage A/C unit 10 times (no joke, I documented how many times they came out for the leaking water). It was literally pouring out of the ceiling at one point and they didn't come look at it until the next evening.
-I never once used the 2nd bathroom shower (not even once), the whole bathroom was YELLOW when I moved, I scrubbed the bathroom with my bare hands, and it was YELLOW!
-The flooring is made of plastic, and had 2 major tears prior to move in, I took pictures and documented this on my move in check list. They blew me off and I was charged for both.
When I called the office letting them know I was charged for things that were on my move in check list, Katena immediately blew me off saying they send files to corporate immediately and that I would need to call corporate... Good luck getting through to corporate....
Like I said I paid over $1600 to move in and received less than $5 back as my refund, when I lived there and when I left the apartment was spotless, even maintenance told me I had one of the cleanest apartments in the complex.....
Young professional female, who was NEVER home, and was charged for everything.
