| - The Dessert Kitchen offers a wide variety of innovative desserts as well as traditional Chinese desserts. Everything is meticulously made, aesthetically pleasing, and delicious! I love the simple décor, especially the upstairs couch seating area.
My favorites in order:
1. Japadog - hot dog wrapped in HK egg waffle, topped with seaweed, mayo, mustard. The sausage is just a normal sausage, but the savory waffle and toppings work really well together. Recommended to share this as it's quite filling - want to save room for more desserts!
2. Vanilla Serradura - layers of cream and superfine crushed biscuits. I will be back to try the green tea as it was sold out that day
3. HK Milk tea with marshmallow polar bear - I think the milk tea can be milkier, but of course I just ordered it for the super cute bear
4. Purple in Love - usually not a shaved ice fan, but the portion of ice was nicely balanced with grape seaweed balls (mini popping bubbles), mini rice balls, grapes. The sweet grape flavor is present, kind of like grape candy.
5. Ice Stream Ramen (Seasonal special) - the kanten (agar jelly) noodles is interesting - give it a try for something new and light. The star of the dish is the white peach sauce, and I liked the type of mango used.
Can skip: Matcha eggettes - it was kind of dry and paled in comparison to the other items
Also tried the house made icecream. Taro soft serve (flavour of the month) had a strong (typical artificial) flavour, melts fast; Matcha ice cream was very strong but not the best texture I've had.
