When I asked my husband what he wanted to do in Vegas his first reply was to have beef Wellington at Gordon Ramsay steak. This came as a surprise to me but I made a reservation and was excited for our visit to do something he wanted to do. We asked our waiter for recommendations which he gave, saying that the American rib cap was amazing and that the Wellington was not all that it used to be. We ordered one of each and were excited for some good steak. My husband enjoyed his beef Wellington but was by no means wowed. He said it was okay.... I had the rib cap that came out not super hot. I had ordered it medium. About half way through the mediocre steak it got more and more rare. When our waiter came back I mentioned it was a little too rare he offered to have them put that piece back on the grill for me, but had sat for 15 minutes waiting for our waiter to come back and at that point I was just done. It was kind of disappointing. The cut of meat was nice, but there was not much seasoning to it. Next time I will go back to giada and have the filet which was incredible. I was sad that it wasn't a better experience...
