Went here for the first time the other day when a friend, who traveled all the way from Waterloo, had a little birthday picnic in the park. I knew there had to be something great about this place if my friend was choosing to brave the 401/427 Gardiner traffic just to come to Trinity Bellwood Parks.
I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised! This is a nice little park located on the Queen Streetcar line (convenient for me), but also very accessible for cyclists and motorists. The park was beaming with groups of people engaged in various leisurely Saturday afternoon activities. There are picnic tables along much green space (okay, kinda brown because it's been a dry summer - so bring a blanket to sit on) for groups to gather and hangout. It never felt too crowded, and while we were approached a few times by bottle collectors, I did not let this bother me.
I can now add this to my list of great places to just chill out in the city!
