| - My wife and I moved here from Hawaii in December, and one of the things we really missed was local-kine plate lunch. We drove all over Vegas checking places out but only so-so--no flavor or too salty, too expensive and manini portions, no can cook rice--whaaat? So when we found Island Flavor only a few miles from our house in the southwest part of town--oh, yeah! Generous portions for the price, great variety and taste, local dishes on-point--Zippy's should get lessons from these guys! Even the sides are great, like the mac salad and green salad--the dressing is some secret recipe and supa ono! Crew working there are really friendly and make you feel like you're ohana, even crack jokes with us, which is so welcome. Wife loves the furikake chicken and Korean chicken, while I like everything but their beef stew is broke da mouth (special on Saturday only--made me wanna lick the bowl!) and the Hawaiian style roast pork (gravy all over--awesome!). We bring friends from Hawaii here, and they all agree that Island Flavor is aurite!! So go check'um out!
