  • *If you're the owner I hope you read this* I really wish I read the reviews for this place but I stumbled into this place looking at the Downtown Summerlin directory online. (We just moved here) I only looked at the pictures online and I was hypnotized by all the color and fun treats! My daughters and I had a shopping day planned and "Wonderland Bakery" was the most anticipated stop. I was sorely disappointed when we didn't even step foot in the shop and I was already LIVID. At first my daughters and I thought an employee was trying to open the door for us but we were surprised by a rolling cart. We immediately got out of the way. My 10 year old however didn't catch on as fast and didn't realize she was in the way. I then asked my daughter to step further away so the employee can pass through. My daughter apologized. The employee shot her the nastiest look of disgust and walked off to get a delivery of Gatorade outside. I don't know if it was the owner that was in the car but if it was I sure wish I thought to turn around talk to her. However, we were immediately greeted by someone very sweet. I had to have her pause and excuse us because I had to make it clear to my 10 year old that no matter how excited you are, you have to be mindful of others. When I turned back to the nicer employee she looked like she knew I was annoyed so she tried to make the introduction of the shop and the features quickly. She helped to lighten the mood. However, she disappeared and here appeared the employee from earlier. No expression on her face, but annoyance. Very short with us. I tried to be polite to her and even smile. Then when my daughter asked for a macaron ice cream sandwich she picked one with sprinkles. Obviously if you are selling an ice cream sandwich it would have to be made and she made a smart remark "it's just a display" I said "ok, I'll take the one with the sprinkles" then she replied with a condescending tone "no, you pick one of these and that's it" if she had explained it better then I would have understood!!! Ok I'm still trying to be patient. I wanted the girls to have a good time. I told my 10 year old she could pick anything she wanted and she picked a brownie. I encouraged to pick something she's never tried but she was happy with the brownie. The next set of customers walked in. It was a group of teenagers. The employee that was helping us immediately acted as if they were celebrities and her whole demeanor changed from an annoyed teenager to a sorority sister. They asked for the prices for a birthday party and she was so cheerful and happy to help them. Then they walked off and didn't buy a thing. Before I came here I wanted to buy a quite a few goodies and I was prepared to spend more than the $11.50 that I shouldn't have. I have a meannnnn sweet tooth! Anyway, I lost my appetite (this is how you know I'm really mad!) and told the girls pick 1 and let's go. During the transaction she didn't even say thank you and when I asked for napkins she pointed and was rude. I didn't want to just reach out and grab them because some places are stingy lol. I finally asked for her name. Supposedly her name is Elizabeth...but who knows it could be a fake name that she gave me because a lot of people would be ratting her out over her bad attitude. If so, she has freckles, long strawberry blonde hair, worked at this location, this Thursday night 8/10 approximately 4:45pm :) I didn't want to make a scene in front of my kids so we went outside. Since my younger one got a macaron ice cream sandwich and I don't let them eat in my Jeep we sat outside on the bench. I could not believe I gave them my business. As we sat there I went back in to confront "Elizabeth" I told her I didn't appreciate the look she gave my daughter. I told her how we have never been here and how much we were looking forward to coming here. I told her that she ruined the experience for us" she tried to explain herself but I didn't even want to hear her bull crap of excuses she was going to try to give me to try and rationalize why she would give a child such a look of disgust. Maybe I would try the other locations? Just as long as "Elizabeth" isn't there!
