| - DO NOT do business with Sonoran Earthworks. Owner, Patrick Kilgore, is conducting landscape installation without being licensed, bonded, and insured, therefore he is operating illegally! I have an impending Arizona Register Of Contractors complaint and investigation for his illegal work. I used his company based on the recommendation of a friend, and he lied to me stating that he is a licensed landscape contractor. Over half the plants he installed immediately began dying; my backyard is not graded to code causing water to pool on one side, which subsequently caused my grass to mold on one side of my yard; sprinkler heads do not work properly causing them to leak profusely, which contributes to the grading issue and water pooling in my yard (and this is after the second time he replaced them); landscape lights immediately began malfunctioning, and the irrigation control box he installed is literally falling off the exterior wall of my house. DO NOT make my mistake! Report him to the AZROC if he gives you a proposal to do any landscape installation work. He can only, legally, (design) your exterior space; however, he is NOT licensed to (install) landscape. Do your homework and ensure you are only using a AZROC licensed, bonded, and insured landscape contractor. Ask for the AZROC license number of anyone giving you a landscape installation proposal, then call, or visit the AZROC website, to verify that they have an active license. You have NO protections or guarantees if work is done by an unlicensed company, and their work later fails. I invested nearly $8,000 with Patrick, and his company, Sonoran Earthworks. I have to invest even more money to fix his faulty work. Please learn from my mistake.
