  • Hadn't been in years when I stopped in after a movie with my Mom and Yelp's own guru: Downtown Steve (5*;) Used to live within walking distance and was a reg years ago. We were the only patrons in the dining room and had a young, very charming waiter. My ahi tuna salad was good, and a large enough portion to take half home, but some of the grape tomatoes were just the wrong side of fresh. Mom had chicken fingers and fries which she enjoyed. Steve had a pastrami sandwich, and asked if the onion rings were fresh. The waiter had a puzzled look on his face and asked: "they do that?!" We all nodded and giggled; to his credit, he asked the Chef and came back to report that they are frozen. Food was good, service was good, Pinot Grigio was A-ok and the company was great. The bar area (smoking) seemed busier as did upstairs. The patio is usually a fair weather favorite spot and lots of folks enjoy their Happy Hour specials. Will have to visit a few more times to see if it is as I remember. For now, 3*
