Our local foodie friends have been recommending this BYOB Italian restaurant to us, and I finally went last night with a friend. Sarafino's is very non-assuming from the exterior, and the delicious hefty-sized portion home-made dishes make it a true neighborhood gem. In addition to a bottle of wine (only a $5 cork fee), we split the special marinara mussels appetizer, polenta appetizer, special crab cake entree, and Della's Spring Diavolo (with the gnocchi substituted in place of the rotini). They were all delicious, but my favorite dish was probably the mussels appetizer because I've never had them prepared that way before and they were so flavorful. Two thumbs way up - I will be returning soon!
