| - I honestly don't know why Kazu is adored by food bloggers, the locals and the tourists.
I lined up half an hour early to make sure to get a spot! I was seated at the bar, which wasn't my first choice, but it's really cool to see how they prepare the dishes. It's a super casual place that fills up quickly.
I ordered the shrimp burger ($12). It came within 5-10 minutes. My first bite just tasted like a regular burger. You really have to take it easy, and cut up the burger to get the full flavour. The sauce was good, but overall, the dish didn't blow me away.
I tried some of my friend's sashimi and he also had the shrimp patty, which is actually half of the shrimp burger. The portions weren't large, however, the plates were nicely decorated. He also had the green tea ice cream which I tried. Super small portion, soft serve vanilla ice cream with powdered matcha ontop.
Quick service, an alright price. I wouldn't go back because I was disappointed with the portions and the place really lacks atmosphere.
