| - I had this place built up in my head, thanks to countless 4-5 star Yelp reviews.
I tried their vanilla, and their chocolate macarons ($2.10 each, small in size), and their cherry and yuzu pastry ($3.50).
Tasty, but the macarons were utterly sweet. I don't think I'm a macaron kind of person.
The pastry was yummy, very rich in butter, not so flaky, but flavourful nonetheless.
For croissants, I prefer Michel's baguette's (their chocolate croissant is divine), or the almond croissant from Wanda's Pie in the Sky (Kensington Market). Both delectable!
I'd go again, maybe. I'd be more open to trying another place, however.
Pricey, but I guess that's the trend for these trendy bakeries that draw a certain 20-30 something demographic.
