| - Horrible! Easily one of my bottom five hotel experiences.
This property is still under construction; still noisy and unappealing.
Check-in took entirely too long. Between the self-service machines not working and the clerk taking almost 15 mins to complete check-in, the entire process took nearly 30 mins without no one in line besides me. We go through airport security faster than that.
They renovated the rooms but they were clearly still dated.
The hallways were too dark to see the room numbers.
I know Park MGM is still in soft opening but, for peace sake, they had to start drilling at 4am? On the morning of 12th June 2018, I was awoken at 4am by a loud buzzing. Not certain what that was, I called the front desk, only to be told that they were resuming construction.
Thanks for robbing me of 3 hours of sleep before having to give a presentation.
Adding insult to injury, at 1230pm on 13th June 2018, they shut off the water in my room. I couldn't flush, I couldn't shower... right before having to prepare for an afternoon meeting.
Thanks for making my day awkward and uncomfortable.
There were no refrigerators in the rooms so we had to resort to using the ice bucket to keep a bottle of water cool, one at a time.
The MGM name was confusing for some drivers; they tend to get Park MGM and MGM Grand mixed up. Not the fault of the hotel but you can't tell me they had not considered that issue with the two hotels so close together.
The so-called "strip view" room windows were filthy; that simply spoiled the view.
The hotel staff were also a bit unpoised and unsophisticated, like they were just working at the Motel Six the day prior.
On 19th June 2018, a few days after sending a complaint note, Park MGM rendered a half-hearted apology with a reassurance that my next stay will be much better. My next stay will, indeed, be better because I will be lodging elsewhere.
Bottomline: Avoid this property.
