| - This is probably CityCenter's most underrated property. While the attention is focused on the Mandarin Oriental and Aria, Vdara sits quietly in the back as a hidden gem.
No casino, no club, no chaos that you'd expect at your typical place on The Strip. Instead, you're greeted with a quiet place that's not so hectic. Check-in was very easy, no crowds, no fuss. Just showed up after a long flight and they were ready with the room keys, etc. Very prompt, very courteous. Everyone at this place was willing to assist. We had a deluxe room this trip and it was pretty spacious. Separate sleeping and "living area" so after a long day, we could relax a bit before having a night out. The bathroom area was fairly large, though I did wonder why there was 1) no vanity area for the girlfriend, and 2) single sink rather than double sinks. Not quite a deal killer but an odd omission considering the property is rated pretty high.
Just a couple of things to consider: It's not directly on The Strip. You have to cut through the Crystals and Aria to get to it or even the Cosmopolitan depending on where you're stumbling back from. If you're driving to it, you have one exit on either side of Harmon Ave. to get to it. Miss it, and you go around. If this makes you pause, then maybe consider another place. If you're staying at Aria and need a cab in a hurry, you can cut over to Vdara and catch one from there.
Overall, well worth the price, and definitely worthy of consideration if you're heading to Vegas.
