| - $34.95 a person (night price) for a 30 minute tour above the Vegas Strip (or the back of the strip). Great views at night.
We went on 12/27/2014 around 9pm and there wasn't much of a wait. There are a lot of switchbacks when it is crowded, so the company prepared well. After you buy your ticket, you go up an escalator, then through a hallway where you can have your picture taken (on a green screen), so the company can place the ferris wheel behind you, then you have a chance to buy a drink and use the restrooms (and I suggest you do one or both), then through switchbacks, then outside and you can see the giant pods. You wait to be corralled into another waiting area, then you wait for your turn to go inside.
Since there weren't too many people when we went, they filled the cabin with about 12 people. It was comfortable to move around in the pod and the tinted windows allowed you to take pictures without too much color variation.
The ferris wheel moves slowly, so you can take in the views. There is a virtual host who tells you facts about the ride, some about the city, and towards the end shows you a time-lapse video of the making of the High Roller.
Once you make a 360 in the pod, you exit the other side and walk down the path to the gift shop (of course). The first part of the gift shop is where you can see the picture that you took right after going up the escalator. They give you a number to easily retrieve your photo. We didn't buy one.
That's it. You exit to the alley with shops and restaurants.
