I really wanted to love Chocolate & Spice, but after a couple of trips I find the place to be an okay experience. This is my reason, I feel their is not enough baker/customer interaction.
I tend to express enthusiasm when I arrive to bakeries, so I start off by saying "this is my first time here what's popular?" or What's your favorite dessert?". I was expecting to get a brief genuine synopsis instead it was bunch of short answers and a sign to checkout. I felt I wasn't given any incentive to come back, except for my own knowledge of what dessert to try based on what I read.
I tried the Quiche with salad and I ate the banana cream pie for dessert.
I felt the Quiche tasted good, despite it being over baked.
Banana cream pie was awesome, with a buttery flaky crust.
Chocolate mousse is a hit or miss on freshness.
Overall I feel a three star is sufficient.
