Question: Who the *bleep* is Kid Cashew anyway?
Answer: I don't care because I love his food.
Apparently this location has been reincarnated many times. Most recently a Tijuana Flats. What they've done with this place is nothing short of amazing. I liken it to eating in a Pottery Barn with European café flair. Whoever designed this place and chose the décor should please come remodel my house.
The menu follows the KISS principle, is one page and neither tries to shotgun foodie palates nor overwhelm you with a drudgery of fanciful selections. The items are well chosen featuring fresh ingredients while still managing to cover a broad enough spectrum to have a little something for everyone.
The Oregano Chicken sandwich was an artfully presented dish that was more reminiscent of a chicken salad on flatbread. The best part was that it tasted great. I liked my side dish even more than my main course; chunks of roasted red and golden beets with pistachios, whipped goat cheese and fresh orange sections. Simply fantastic with incredible depth of flavors!!
Our waiter was very good and not only took our joking around but joined in!
Great atmosphere all around - bustling with great energy! Local drafts= yay! Awesome place to come with a dinner club and share your dishes!!
Saving my fifth star to see if they can repeat this performance...
