| - Huge letdown for a birthday gathering. We booked the large patio table, but when we arrived they first tried to sit us at a table for 4, inside. When we tried to explain we had reserved the patio, and that our party wouldn't fit at the table, the hostess had to go back and have a staff conference before leading us outside to the nearly empty patio. We told the staff taking the reservation we were there for a birthday, we told the hostess we were there for a birthday, we told the waitress we were there for a birthday, we heard the staff singing happy birthday to another table. Not only did we not get any acknowledgement of the birthday we were celebrating, but they forgot to give the birthday boy the cookie that is included in the kids meal. After taking care of the check we told them they forgot his birthday AND his cookie, they brought out the cookie with a candle in it. We had just seen them do much more for another table, and they had initially forgotten his dessert entirely.
There were other issues as well. The wait staff was inattentive, but VERY handsy, which was off putting. Someone would come over, put a hand on your shoulder or pat you on the back, I'm assuming to foster some sort of intimacy, but then not listen to what you were saying. We asked about appetizers on the happy hour menu and the waitress cut us off rambling off choices. At the end of the night we asked about the pricing on the bill and were informed then that happy hour is only in the bar area. The time to have told us that was when we asked earlier, and perhaps if the waitress didnt cut us off she would have understood our question better. I also didn't appreciate the patronizing "Awww is it too spicy for you" by wait staff after not liking my entree. I've eaten hundreds of green chili stews, the point is generally to showcase green chili's, but here they do everything possible to eradicate any semblance of green chili flavor. Its sickly sweet and overloaded with corn. It might be OK if they called it something else, but as a green chili stew, it was the worst I've had.
