I think this place is great. Good beer specials, comfortable place to lounge near other bars and the square, and most importantly--great junk food. Seriously, the cheese fries here are the best cheese fries (cheese sauce, not melted cheddar) I've ever had. At $7 for a medium-small serving they'd better be, but they were. Burgers are your run-of-the-mill good burgers, thin and greasy, and you order them stacked. $5 for one patty is far too expensive, but $11 for a quadruple burger seems about right since it's about 300 grams of delicious fat in one serving. This place isn't as nice as the Old Fashioned or Graze, but if you're just looking for some real Wisconsin grub and a beer, The Cow is more casual and just as good if not better.
PS -- I've heard complaints about their lack of vegetarian options. They should totally just add a texas toast grilled cheese to the menu or something.
