| - Wow!! All those good reviews. And then mine. I called Little Friends, was quoted a price of $22 per visit. Got the quote back later in an email. It had changed to $24 per visit.
I submitted my application on line, per their requirement. At the end, you must click submit to enter. I waited a day with no response. Called the next day and the girl said they had not received it. After looking at her computer for 5-10 seconds, she "found" it. She claimed that it had magically not come thru. If that was true, then why was it there? I had a printed copy in my hand from their website that it was confirmed that the submission had been received. Methinks that she just wasn't doing her job and checking her email, although I had spoken with her the day before and she knew it was coming.
Then she told me that she would get back to me by the end of business that day and let me know the status of my sitter. At this point, I need to say that it was a Tuesday, and I was planning to leave at 5AM Thursday. Everything revolved around this pet sitter. I asked for an earlier call. She agreed to get back to me by 1PM that day. I called her at 1:15 PM and asked about the sitter, and she told me that she had been talking with other clients, but would not be able to provide a sitter.
It worked out OK, I found another sitter who was not only cheaper, but closer to home. These people were less than honest with me and undependable. And I also found that they nickel and dime you to death. Every time they touch your dog, even give them a pill, there is a charge.
My advice: keep looking. You can do better.
