| - I have been coming to Toni and Guy since 2003 so I think I can give a pretty fair review. First of all 5-STARS to my colorist Ray Burgeron AND stylist Roberto High. At this writing both Ray and Roberto are no longer at Toni and Guy. So why the 2-star rating?? Well, there is no way I could give the salon 2-stars as long and Ray and Roberto were still there! Why? Because they were the only reasons I would return, without fail, every 5-weeks to this salon. In my opinion, Ray and Roberto are two of the best I've been to. Perfection every time.
Years ago I could find many reasons why I liked Toni and Guy. However, over the years I have seen the salon become run-down only to be replaced with cheap and shoddy looking furniture and flooring. The cabinets in the back are mismatched, chairs have broken cushions, TV's in the back with pictures so bad you can't see them, the mirrors have edges that are dangerous and sharp enough to cause you to seek stitches if you brush against one - I can go on and on. You are lucky if there are enough clean towels and smocks with buttons to put on. The music blasts so loud you cannot hear yourself speak or God forbid, hear your cellphone ring. The atmosphere is circus-like at best. Looking in from the outside you would think the prices would be like "Great Clips" but they are comparable to any other up-scale Scottsdale salon. For me, a tint with highlights and cut, plus tip will run me about $225.00. If I buy product, even more. I have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars in this salon over the years and have never received one THANK YOU from the owners (and the work there!!!). I'm happy to say I am following Ray and Roberto OUT of Toni and Guy and will never return again. I will be happy to not be bothered by someone who wants to pre-book my appointment for the future. After 9 years of being a customer do you really think I needed a reminder??
