| - I owe this feedback to Christine so she can improve for future clients. i had bought 3 gel-manicures on Groupon; this was my first gel experience. The first appt was okay....she complained about bad Groupon customers & the drama from folks shopping nail deals & how little $$ she made from these Groupon appts. She also bad-mouthed "chop shops" with Asian nail tech & claimed she always asked where new clients got their nails done since she new the "chop shops" do a lousy job & damage nails. I wouldn't know, but I thought her comments were in poor taste given one's nationality doesn't imply good or bad service. She was distracted with phone calls & texts with family members, and it was awkward to witness her conversations, not to mention rude & unprofessional to be obviously distracted during my appt. The work station did not appear sanitary; her tools are pulled from a drawer & not sterilized, and nail dust is everywhere. 2nd appt was the "Bev encounter", and Christine was near hysterical after this verbal altercation with her angry customer. This time the entire appointment was her on her phone; it stressed me out to witness it! This time she was also out of topcoat, so my french manicure ended up with glitter from her using the very bottom of the bottle that contained residual glitter. I'm not sure if she missed a step in this manicure due to her being distracted, but my gels only lasted about a week this time (after I paid $5 extra for smoothing gel). Third & final appt was an experience too; she texted me 2 hours before my scheduled appt asking where I was; appears there was a booking error like Bev had experienced. Not saying it's impossible that it was a communication error, but I booked an afternoon appt each time & programmed it directly into my phone each time as we scheduled it. I eventually made it in for the last appt, and this time was no different. Phone calls, texts, stress, nail dust & questionable cleanliness of the work station & nail tools. It's just not a pleasant experience, and I would never consider paying the normal $40 rate she charges for a gel manicure (extra $5, should be included!). If this were a girl doing nails out of her kitchen for $20, professionalism wouldn't be expected, but I'd still hope for sanitary conditions. Sorry, Christine, you need to prioritize your business & clean up your act to get my business. Your stress is contagious!
