| - Toronto has some seriously cool areas, but the one that never fails to float my boat is Kensington Market. In the span of a few blocks, you will come across a multitude of vintage and furniture shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and other hidden gems. In the warmer months, it's the perfect place to wander around, browse through used (and sometimes a bit stinky) clothing, pick up a few knickknacks, and generally just enjoy the constant happenings that are evolving around you. Many interesting varieties of people frequent this hood, so if you're into people watching, have a seat on a patio and prepare to be dazzled by those both young and old.
But, really what's the best thing about Kensington? For me, it's a toss up between the day that I saw Ryan Gosling strutting down the street as though he were just a regular dude (nice try, Ryan!) and the time that I had too many vodka sodas at Supermarket. Both great and unexpected times. And, If there's one thing about Kensington that you should keep in mind, it's to always expect the unexpected.
