  • A well known fact about me: I like a man with a hearty sausage. Enter Meating. Hello! Each time I bring a round of these puppies to a BBQ or food event, everyone gasps, with excited commentary on the size of my sausage. I always nod with approval and explain that Meating is one of the places that make Leslieville the great hood that it is. A family run business, Meating is all about providing the best of what's around, and has, for me, at least, yet to disappoint. Service is friendly and informative. Product is plentiful and fresh. I do love the sausage! Lamb and the spicy Ecuadorian are my current favourites, with others that run close behind. No preservatives, no fillers, no nonsense! In all respects, fantastic. As a note - hours might vary. My friend called one afternoon, heading out of town, and wanting to leave with a few sausages in hand, wanted to know when the shop opened on a Saturday. The gentlemen she spoke to replied, "Sometimes 900, sometimes 0930. You know, sometimes you need to sleep in a bit." One star for the honesty alone. I like that. And you will too.
