From my experience I would NOT recommend Cory's if you care about the details of your manicure. My mom and I came here today for Mother's Day shellac manicures. Scheduling was easy and customer service was very pleasant both on the phone and today when we arrived for our appointments. This is great but should come standard with a salon or day spa, therefore I am rating Cory's based on the final product-- the manicures themselves. I do not have the names of the women who performed our manicures, and perhaps the Mother's Day holiday resulted in the staff being more exhausted(?). This was the first manicure either my mom or I received at Cory's (and the first time I had any service at the salon since I was a teenager ~15 years ago) so we can only evaluate based on our experiences today. My manicurist was incredibly warm and friendly but I appreciate manicurists to take a moment to ask whether I like the shape after they've filed my nails and whether I like the look of the polish. My manicurist asked for no feedback on the shape or the polish and gave me no opportunity to ask for anything to be changed. Her nail shaping was actually fine but it's the principle of asking the client's thoughts. If this was the only issue I would likely not be writing this review. Again the real problem is the final product, which I feel like is at least 75% of what you pay for when you purchase a salon service. My manicure looks sloppy. The edges of the color near my cuticle are not smooth, and in fact they extend up onto my cuticle in numerous areas so I seriously doubt the durability of this manicure. The color coverage is fine but the edges stand out so badly it takes away from the appearance dramatically. My mom's manicure didn't suffer from the cuticle issue but she had a flaw in the polish on one nail that her manicurist did not offer to fix. We paid $75 plus tip for our manicures so I expected a higher quality final product in return. Looking back on our entire experience, we were also a bit disappointed that I was not offered a beverage. My mom was but her request for coffee was met with them giving her a half cup of stale coffee ("what they had leftover"). Not a big deal at all if they had delivered a higher end final product with the manicures but it's just an additional thing irking me about our experience. I would recommend another salon for a more professional look and/or being very vigilant during the manicure itself so that you can ask your manicurist to redo these types of flaws. NOTE: these photos were taken 6hrs after my manicure, this is exactly how my nails looked when I left Cory's.
