  • As far as barbecue places go in Charlotte, Midwood barbecue by far THE best brisket in town. In no way is this place fancy. In fact, they might even let you in with your pajamas. Service is always great and every staff member I've interacted with there has been friendly. Even the person managing the takeout orders is nice! But let's get down to business. The food here is fantastic. They do a great Texas style brisket, which I highly recommend. If I'm feeling in a light mood, I will get the chopped salad and add brisket on top. It's delicious. Sides are great, and I would recommend the Mac and cheese. I know this is kind of random, but the sausage is really good too. It's one of those meets that comes as an afterthought to a lot of people, but put this at the top of the order next you go! All in all, a great BBQ joint. Patio is nice in the spring and they turn tables fairly quickly so you do t have to wait too long. If I could leave you with one piece of advice, get the bacon wrapped jalapeños. You won't regret the taste and you can just ignore the calories.
