  • Stayed here Saturday-Wednesday for the first time. The hotel is gorgeous and I have always wanted to stay here. Most of the rooms have a balcony and the 2 different rooms I stayed in were excellent. You almost can't go wrong here. The building is VERY tall so be warned if you have a fear of heights. My ears popped a few times on the elevator. They don't charge a resort fee but any extra is a separate fee: internet, gym, spa, etc. The gym is very nice w/a tv on each machine and a small yoga studio, free weights area, etc. The spa is nice also, however I would have liked a co-ed area for when you are there w/your significant other so you can relax together. I didn't have any services done, so no comment on that. One small annoyance with all these newer, bigger, better hotels is the tricky gadgetry. The phones are computer-ish so it takes time to figure out how to use them and if they reset, you can not use the phone. The lights are each operated by electric buttons that don't always work and it made it very difficult to control the lighting in the room. Not a fan. Ended up unscrewing the light bulb on the main center light. Also I made a big deal about upgrading to the room w/the jacuzzi tub and found the tub to be a little disappointing. The bubbles are very tame and I got bored. Nice features like a big fridge, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. But who actually uses these things? It's not like they give you any laundry detergent or pots and pans. I assume you can request it. Dining in the Cosmo is ok, but my best food was found elsewhere. We had breakfast here at Henry's everyday which was pretty good in terms of quality. We had dinner at STK upstairs and were happy but not blown away, especially considering the prices. We ate at the new Gordon Ramsay place across the street the next night and were very happy there. Same price point but much more of an experience and more interesting food. The pool is ok and apparently heated but shockingly small considering the size of the hotel. I expected more. The casino is pretty standard with higher minimums than other local spots. We only lost money at this place every time we played so we won't be betting here again.
