We've finally received our stuff last Monday, exactly two months after they were picked up. We filed a complaint with FMCSA the week before - not sure if that helped, but the two delivery guys told us they were asked to pick up the shipment from a warehouse in Connecticut just three days before the delivery. I thought about adding one star just for the delivery crew who had to drive 3000 miles in 3 days and were pretty efficient during the delivery, but turns out they aren't even with public moving services - they are with a California-based moving company. This perhaps explains the discrepancy of experience reported in the reviews. And now I finally understand what the customer service reps meant when they say "sorry we don't have any update from our dispatch team yet" - it probably translates into "your stuff is in a warehouse somewhere - we haven't got around to hire another moving company to ship them yet".
Our $300 Dyson vacuum cleaner and one small box of items were lost during the move, but luckily all other stuff arrived mostly intact, except our dresser which now has a damaged corner. TBH after reading all the other reviews this is already much better than we expected.
Oh, also, when taking another look at the wire transfer information for this company, I realized that they are the same as Public Moving & Storage, which also has very poor reviews online (what a surprise, eh?)
