| - We hunted for this bakery because of the outstanding rating. Upon entrance of the dimly lighted mall, we followed a buttery fragrance, trailed the long hallway and discovered a lineup? outside of a tiny bakery. I couldn't believe so many people knew about this very hidden bakery. In my mind, the owners were nuts to open a bakery in this old, dumpy, boarderlined? shady looking mall to start with. I couldn't? fandom how they survived all these years. And here we found out people not only have heard of it, they are loyal customers. To be honest, the buns are better than average in favours, but smaller than average in size. Buns are sweet, buttery, and soft. They reminded me of the buns from neighbourhood bakeries in villas in Hong Kong. The buns are inexpensive. But once you factor in the smaller size, the deal is just okay. However, l realize that, due to the smaller size, I need to eat two buns to feel not hungry, meaning I can enjoy two varieties of buns in one meal. That I do love very much.
In Hong Kong, these are average good buns. In Toronto, these are better than average buns. Nostalgia adds half a point. 4 stars be it.
