Imagine living in an apartment complex where your kid's Christmas presents are stolen from your front door and the management could care less, especially when the prime suspects are their cleaning crews. That's exactly what happened to me.
Apparently, being a loyal tenant here for more than one year and paying your rent on time every month doesn't seem to mean anything to this complex. It certainly doesn't earn you any special courtesies or consideration. After satisfying my one year lease agreement, I had just moved out and hadn't yet had my change of address order completely processed. The Post Office mistakenly delivered family Christmas presents to my old apartment. My friendly neighbors even saw my presents delivered while cleaning people were still working in the apartment. When I asked the management if someone had brought my presents to the office, they claimed they didn't know anything and were completely uncooperative. They claimed because I was no longer a tenant there, they could not disclose any information. They also said that they weren't responsible for anything the cleaning people might have done because they did not work directly for them. I had to literally pull teeth to even get the name of the cleaning company out of the unfriendly manager. Contacting them also proved to be a complete waste of my time as well; They also didnt care. I politely asked the manager to call them and inquire on my behalf. She flatly refused. She just didn't want to be bothered. As a result, $500 of my chiildrens' Christmas presents just vanished into thin air. My kids will have a very disappointing Christmas this year as I cannot afford to replace these lost gifts. Thank you Boulders at Lone Mountain. Merry Christmas to you!
Worse yet. when I originally moved into the apartment, they told me it was ready for occupancy. That was NOT true.. There were numerous issues in that apartment that had not been resolved. I was continuously inconvenienced or the first week as workmen trod thru my apartment taking care of maintainence issues that should of been completed before they gave me the keys. I also discovered that the previous tenant had anger control issues. There was damage in the form of deep pits in the metal front door on the inside and out. Deep pits on the refridegerator door as well. Numerous splits and holes in the walls that had been sloppily patched over.
There are simply much better places to live in Las Vegas, where you don't have to worry about your kids' Christmas presents being stolen and the management actually cares about their tenants. The Boulders at Lone Mountain. isn't one of these complexes I wish now I had read the other reviews on YELP before signing a lease here. If you're thinking about moving here, DON'T DO IT.You'll REGRET it.
