| - Totally wish I could give them more stars.. but...
Checked in around 8pm- front desk girl was really nice..
Lobby is a bit dated, no biggie because it was pretty clean.
Got to room 218.... Oh my....
Walked in and noticed the stains on the carpet and the door jambs were very dirty, like the room has not been scrubbed down in years.. and people with really dirty hands do not know how to keep their hands off the walls and door jambs... anyway.....
Went to close the curtains, and noticed the curtains were kinda burnt or something at the bottom..but upon closer inspection, noticed a cream colored stain all along the bottom... like some sort of "liquid" stain as it had the properties of running and bleeding...
Anyway, went in to the bathroom and noticed that the edge of the tub had a weird grey splotching on it (possible mold stain?) The shower was pretty clean, but again, the door jamb had some funky stains on it.. and splatter marks from "something"....
The toilet was loose. IT WAS NOT BOLTED to the floor. So, it was a rockin' and-a rollin' everytime we "went".... and the toilet was right next to the shower and made for a very crampy 'experience'..
There was a hole in the cieling where I think a fire alarm should have been.
The TV was very old and dated and the reception was not that good..
There was a mini fridge in the room, that worked well..
The sink area was clean. They provided a few mini bars of soap and shampoo and conditioner... there was coffee and a pot, but we did not use this.
All of our towels were clean. The "large" towel was big enough to wrap your hair in. There were no bath sheets provided. They smelled a bit of bleach, which was a good thing!!!!
Put on our PJs and went to get into bed... I pulled back my bedspread and there was red (what I hope to be) marker pen on the flip side. OMG, I pulled the spread off and just left it on the floor the whole time.
Between the two beds, (again hoping I'm right) there was a sticky, burnt looking stain of some gunk on the carpet... Sis said it looked like chocolate, I thought it looked like hardened snot mixed with a HUGE cigarette burn..
But anyway, it was cheap- for a few bucks more, I'd be willing to pay for a better room where I'm not freaking out as I fall asleep- thinking about all of the microbes I'd be inhaling all night long..
They did provide breakfast the following morning..
Make your own waffles w/ butter and syrup
PB & J with various breads
OJ
Apple Juice
Coffee (nice and hot)
Raisin Bran
Fruit Loops
Milk
Fresh Apples (red delicious that were a bit pithy..but ok)
If you do stay there, just tell them you do not want room 218!!! LOL
