| - I booked this hotel by mistake thinking I was booking the Hyatt House on Trade street. Who knew little Uptown Charlotte had two Hyatt's within walking distance.
Besides the friendly and helpful staff, everything about this hotel was standard... but not amazing. girlfriend's local bachorlette party, I booked this hotel for a little 'staycation'
Based on customer service and staff alone, I would give this place 5 stars. Everyone from the valet, front desk and cleaning team were very friendly and went out of their way to say hello.
Everything else in the hotel left me wanting/ expecting more. For 180.00 dollars a night, I was left a little disappointed.
The room was large with a little seating area, but the sofa, beds etc. were very bare. The whole room felt empty. It didn't feel very welcoming. The vibe of the hotel is modern, but it just came across as cold. Our view of the city was pretty and our walk to center city was easy a quick 5 minute stroll.
Half of the building are condos, so the lobby and elevator set up is a little odd.
I didn't make it to breakfast, but the coffee was really bad, leaving me only to assume the continental breakfast was similar, but you can't expect much from a free breakfast.
I think the hotel, décor, amenities and overall feel should be updated to make the overall stay at Hyatt Place feel 100 percent enjoyable.
