I rarely give five stars but this place is really great and a rare gem, especially because it's located right in the city and easily accessible. Highly recommended during the spring and summer months. Also great during late September to early October to watch the leaves change colors. It's not Algonquin park but there's enough autumn foliage for some nice pictures :)
Located right at the corner of Lawrence Ave and Leslie St., a nice place to come for a walk, a hike, a bicycle ride, or some photo taking opportunity. Also a nice place for an outdoors date in Toronto where you can get to know one another and comment on random plants while you think of something else to say. Lols but not so great if you can't stand the person because it would take awhile to walk to the exit. The beautiful flowers, lush plants, and paved road provides a nice way to spend an afternoon. I might be a slow walker but I would say you can hike for 2-3 hours here.
Cafe and washrooms on site near the entrance.
DO NOT DRIVE HERE ON HOLIDAYS! (eg Thanksgiving Monday). It is crazier than the zoo and you won't find parking. (Yes, I made the mistake of doing this, but then I discovered nearby parking off site after 45 minutes of waiting so it isn't exactly that bad) Either bus it here or park off site. No parking problems on regular days though.
