  • Lineberger is a large park with two primary playground areas. Some of the jungle gym equipment is really unique: a giant rope climbing jungle gym, a giant spinning wheel and small cups you can sit in and spin. There are walking trails throughout the park with Talking Tree exhibits. Unfortunately, they name all the sponsors first, so you have to listen to a bunch of garbledy gook before hearing about the tree. Up on a hill there's a large pool with waterslide and a sprinkler area the kids can run through (opens during the summer). There are Baggie stations everywhere to pick up after your dog. I remember thinking how clean this place was until a Chihuahua copped a squat and dropped a deuce right next to me (thanks!) and its preteen owner couldn't be bothered to pick it up. "Kids today!" says the old geezer (aka me).
