  • Recently I took delivery a new Mazda 3 hatchback. Far and away, it is the best car I've ever driven. I'm very happy with it. And I know that Kenny Ross Mazda will stand behind it if there are any problems. A key part of the process, that made the entire experience as pleasant as buying a car can be, was the work done by Ryan Halterman. My son needed a car for college; I gave him mine and decided to buy a new one. I did my homework and settled on a Soul Red Mazda 3 GT S hatchback with a stick. You won't find these on a dealer lot. I keep my cars for a long time and was not willing to settle for something that was not exactly what I wanted. I had been a long-time Honda owner but it was time to consider another make. Mazda is reliable, fuel-efficient, and - as important to me - fun to drive. General manager David Maraney matched the asking price quoted in writing by another dealer. In addition, Kenny Ross was closer to home, and offered a no-cost dealer powertrain warranty that others did not. Other local dealers do not have as good of a reputation as Kenny Ross, either. My dad bought a car from your dad in 1958 and spoke well of his experience. My salesman, Ryan Halterman, was outstanding in every respect. I cannot say enough good things about this young man. No pressure, just accurate answers to my questions. Very straightforward. He was a fountain of information. Assisting him - and setting the tone for the dealership - was his boss, David Maraney, another friendly and professional person who was helpful in every respect. Holly Nabors handled all the paperwork, title, etc., and was fast, efficient, and friendly. Holly made a convincing case for the aftermarket warranty and I decided to purchase that, too, particularly in light of an unexpected out-of-warranty catastrophic mechanical failure I'd had on my last Honda. There was a significant wait for this car to be built and shipped in from Japan but it was worth it. Ryan checked the vehicle over carefully and, when he found that one option hadn't been installed, he took care of that right away. He even set the clock to the 24 hour version that I prefer. Originally, I hadn't planned on buying rustproofing but Ryan made a convincing case for the purchase and I changed my mind. Now I have a car that is probably the quietest I've owned, a side benefit, but I expect I'll have less corrosion underneath than on my last, unprotected car. In sum, this was the most pleasant experience I've had when buying a car, and I've been driving well over forty years. Too often, buying a car is a painful process, with pressure, haggling, and some bait-and-switch. That didn't happen at Kenny Ross Mazda. I bought a great vehicle at a great price. When I need a new car I'll buy it from Ryan Halterman at Kenny Ross Mazda.
