It's been on the list of places to get to since it opened. Finally. Let's get the differences with Frankie's right out of the way. It's doesn't smell like there's cigarette smoke as part of it's DNA. The drinks are less hard core, and it's still excellent. Neither the wife, nor I, want drinks with the frozen dole whip in it, but getting it separately is an excellent thing to do. This place exudes Tiki in a good way.
We always hit the places with complicated drinks at a slow time. Sunday afternoon worked great. The drinks use a lot of top shelf ingredients. Barrel aged rhum Clement and Eldorado 12 in the Three dots and a dash. It doesn't get better than that. Golden Tiki is an excellent addition to the local scene.
