| - I wanted to like this place with its concept of upscale American food and the food we tried had some high points, but overall, not a great meal - and it was pretty darn pricey for what it was.
The good: cocktails were delicious, and I don't even like cocktails all that much. We tried 4 different ones and all were yummy. Would definitely go back to the bar here.
Food: We started with Reuben pot stickers (they have multiple kinds of funky potstickers) and spicy pigs in blankets and they were great, rest of appetizers were just ok, the soup, the meatball. My husband had the scallops and they were very good, but the portions are tiny on the entrees - weird because the appetizer portions were all generous?
Service and Decor: Workmanlike, pleasant, nothing memorable.
If we ever went back it would be for the burgers - saw a few go by and they looked fantastic.
Anyway, it was an expensive and no unpleasant, if unmemorable meal. Go for the cocktails and if you just want a fun appetizer or two. Save the fine dining for another of the Wynn/Encore's restaurants.
