| - I do not argue that this store has EVERYTHING, freshly made to order, take-away up the ying-yang, specialty departments galore, an impressive vitamin/beauty section and yet the most pathetic, paltry, sad excuse-for-an-organic-vegetable department I've ever seen.
All I wanted was cucumber, celery and broccoli, some of the most basic veggies known to the modern shopper.
All three of these must-haves were empty or nearly so, one or two beaten-down cucumbers, a lone head of broccoli gone greenish-yellow and a few celery bunches that must have been used by the produce department to beat each other over the head with.
It was discouraging to me, a store so-filled with a variety of products to have such a miserable collection of organic veggies. Dragging my sad face to the bulk section, I tried to revive myself with some fruits and nuts, only to find that they don't offer plastic bags, just plastic containers with separate lids. Seems so wasteful to me, to have to take a whole container for a few dried apricots. Hello, wanna fill the landfills much?
Ugh, I am not a fan.
