Overall, I had a positive experience here. I was able to self-check in from a kiosk and avoid the line. I was greeted by a cheerful, funny host in the parking lot who gave me a three-level upgrade from an economy to a Kia Soul. Drove right on out for my work trip and didn't think about the rental until I returned.
The guy who checked me back in kept asking me if I knew how the scratches and knocks on the rear bumper got there. Since I only had my backback and never used the trunk space, I told him I didn't. What he was looking at struck me as the typical rental car scratches from folks trying to heft their luggage in and out of the car without minding the roller wheels. Yet he asked me twice about them and make a deliberate note on paperwork about the damage and walked me back to customer service who also asked me twice about what I thought could have caused it. I don't know. The previous renter? The last employee who parked the car? They made me fill out a form, sign and told me I may be contacted in the next couple of days.
They didn't and it's not a big deal, but it left a sour impression and I'm certain this could have been handled in way that made me feel less like a criminal.
