I delivered my first baby with Dr. Herraro about a year ago. When I first met her, I thought she wasn't giving enough information. After the first visit, I wrote down all the questions I had and she answered very clearly. Every visit needed some wait time, sometimes hours. One time she had a meeting so my appointment was postponed, but no one called me to confirm but an email with the new appointment time. It was part of my mistake that I didn't read the email. I just assumed that it was just a reminder.
I had to induce on my due date. I was lucky that a woman scheduled to induce had natural delivery. She put me in her schedule. Thank God I had 9lb 9oz baby! If I waited more than the baby would be bigger.
When I tried natural delivery, she continuously checked my status and gave orders to nurses even at night. She showed up after I tried to push for 3 hours and had fever, 101F, and told me that the baby was too big to come out. She gave us a little time to discuss, and we decided to do c-section. It was very quick, like in 10 mins, and we found out that the baby wasn't in a good position. She glued and taped on my scar rather than sewing which I like. She explained what to expect and what to do very thoroughly after the surgery.
My baby ended up staying in the NICU for a week because of the fever. But it was pediatrician's order.
I will go back to her for my 2nd baby.
