I had high hopes and made the trek to the west end ready to sign up. I was a bit let down with the pricing and selection. There was a huge amount of non-perishables, various boxes and bottles, but I found the selection of produce and meat a bit lacking and what was there was jacked up in price. I didn't see much in the way of grass-fed beef (my primary goal for shopping alternative food shops) other than signs to order a large amount most people would have nowhere to store in a Toronto apartment. I'm a little spoiled by living in an area of the city with large health food stores and co-ops and nice markets (which all also suck for grass-fed beef btw) but I can really see that given the neighbourhood this place would be awesome for the locals. It's just not worth a trek across the city. I could tell by the bulletin board at the front that the co-op is a real community hub.
